NVITATION FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION/SUBMISSION OF MEMORANDA ON THE THARAKA NITHI COUNTY FINANCE BILL, 2026 AND THARAKA NITHI COUNTY SPATIAL PLAN 2026-2036
In line with the provisions of Article 185 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and Section 21 of the County Governments Act, 2012 the County Assembly is in the process of considering the following:
1. The Tharaka Nithi County Finance Bill, 2026
2. The Tharaka Nithi County Spatial Plan 2026-2036.
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 196 (1)(a) and (b) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 as read together with Section 87 of the County Governments Act, 2012 and the Tharaka Nithi County Assembly Standing Order 152, the County Assembly Committee on Finance, Budget and Appropriations and the committee on Land Housing and Physical planning notifies the general public that they will be conducting public hearings on the Tharaka Nithi County Finance Bill, 2026 and the Tharaka Nithi County Spatial Plan 2026-2036 in the following venues.
1. Marimanti DCF Hall – Thursday Sep 10, 2026 at 10:00 am
2. Chuka Picnic Grounds – Thursday Sep 10, 2026 at 10:00 am
3. Kathwana Pavallion – Thursday Sep 10, 2026 at 10:00 am
4. Chogoria Sub County Hall – Thursday Sep 10, 2026 at 10:00 am
The committee invites interested members of the public to submit their representations that they may have on the Bill and the spatial plan orally in the venues above or through written memoranda.
Written views or memoranda may be hand delivered to the Office of the Clerk or emailed to tharakanithicountyassembly@gmail.com or clerk@tharakanithiassembly.go.ke on or before the close of business 10th September, 2026. For ease of reference, the Bill and spatial plan may be obtained from the Office of the Clerk, County Assembly Offices or the County Assembly website
